EITC (for Businesses)

What is EITC?

Through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), PA companies that pay business taxes receive up to a 90% tax credit by donating to low-income youth at WCA.

1: Businesses that make a one-year contribution receive PA tax credits equal to 75% of their contributed amount.

2: Businesses receive a 90% tax credit by making a two-year commitment of equal funding.

3: Businesses can request up to $400,000 in tax credits.

3: Identify your legislator: here

4: Know what your PA corporate net tax bill will be for the current year.

How does my business apply?

1: Apply online here.

2: Business receives confirmation from the state.

3: The business must make its gift to a qualified scholarship organization (like WCA) within 60 days of receiving their tax credit approval letter.

4: The scholarship organization receipts the gift and the business provides proof of the gift to the DCED within 90 days of receiving the tax credit approval letter.

5: File your business tax returns normally. The DCED informs the PA Department of Revenue and the credits are reserved for your end-of-year tax return.
