There are lots of options, so to help you choose, we’ve marked a few things for you:

  • Titles in bold are great books to read aloud, no matter what grade you’re in! Parents, take a look at lists from older grades for read-aloud ideas.
  • Titles in red have won the Caldecott medal or honor, awarded for excellence in art and illustration.
  • Titles in green have won the Newbery medal or honor, awarded for distinguished contributions to American literature for children.
  • *Titles marked with an asterisk and blue text spotlight a WCA staff favorite.
